Life Groups

God has created us to experience the hope and life of the Gospel in relationships with other believers in Christ.

Our Life Groups meet weekly in member’s homes and encourage one another to grow in love of God and others. Life Groups are a key way that we grow together in our knowledge, love, and likeness of Christ. It’s the main way that we fulfill our ministry value of “Intentional Community.” Each group is made up of 6-14 people, and facilitated by a trained leader. The groups are focused intentionally on building community and fellowship: a place to know and be known within our church. We dive deeper into understanding and applying the Sunday sermons. We pray with and for one another. We support and serve one another as needs arise.

We believe that the Lord created and saved us to grow in community with one another.  It is not good for anyone to walk alone, and that’s why the Bible so often refers to believers as the People of God and the Body of Christ.  We encourage every person at Christ Our Hope to get connected with a Life Group.  Each group is a little different based on the people involved, but the heart of Christian community is the same throughout.

There are currently 10 groups that meet weekly around the Wake Forest area. Life Group discussion is normally based around that week’s sermon; taking the Truth preached and learning to live it out. Life Group members also serve together in the church and in the community at large. You may see a Life Group greeting on Sunday mornings, organizing a baby shower for one of its members, or collecting gifts for refugees at Christmas.

Note on childcare:

Due to logistical constraints, we are not able to offer childcare as a part of our Life Groups. We request that each family make accommodations for their own children. We do not want this to be an obstacle for anyone's involvement in a group, so if this is a concern, please contact Pastor Tim and we can follow up with appropriate resources.
